Team GNR8 had an impromptu friendly with a small (but deadly) team from Miri, Sarawak last nite. We knew these guys were good but last nite we learned that they were playing on a different level (jumping smash anyone?). We also learned that one of them was Sarawak's veteran champion! Redvaee should have warned us much earlier... We were just not ready for this kind of action, heheh.
It was fast and furious. No matter what our combination was, we still couldn't crack the Sarawak code.
Maybe Team GNR8 was holding back since we want to be such good hosts for our guests :-D
In any case, we still had a blast. We really need to step up for the friendly this coming wednesday. So guys, let's do one better, okay?

Fast and Furious? Sounds dead on alrite. I gotta admit, i felt a bit guilty bringing these guys here and getting our butts kicked left and right. But oh, well its good experience aint it?
Seriously, the last time i saw these guys play was like ten or more years ago and they still give me those jaw dropping moments.
And that ol' guy who was SARAWAK veteran champ? i didnt even know he was one till we were on the way to the court! Bless em!
Shows how important practice is though. Those guys live and breathe badminton! Hopefully, we can play the full team some time in future. But ahemmm...after some serious preparations of course! heheheh.
PS. Dont feel too bad, two of em had training/tips from Rexy Mainaky! so all in all. I dont think we did too badly!
